This study collects relevant information and energy consumption data of 2 379 public buildings by literature review. The differences in energy consumption of different zones and building types of buildings, as well as the indoor environmental satisfaction of public buildings, and common building technologies are analysed. The results show that the energy consumption of public buildings in cold zone is the highest, and the average annual energy consumption per unit area is 118.53 kW·h/ (m2·a). Moderate climate zone has the lowest energy consumption, and the average annual energy consumption per unit area is 40.71 kW·h/ (m2·a). The energy recovery device has a good energy-saving effect. The satisfaction with the lighting environment of green office buildings is the highest, with an average of 0.78, while the satisfaction with air quality is the lowest, with an average of 0.59. The overall satisfaction is 0.63 on average. Energy-saving lamps, water-saving appliances and water-saving irrigation are the most commonly used technical measures in green public buildings.
